Debbie Batten retired as the Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services/CFO of Edgecombe Community College (ECC) where she was responsible for the oversight of all financial operations of the College, construction projects, the maintenance and upkeep of college facilities, the operations of the food service, Bookstore, Human Resources, and Performing Arts Center. She has experience with the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and overall management of the Colleague Information System (Colleague Finance/ARCR).

She teaches the Financial Aid for Business Officials and Managing Business Office Processes courses currently offered through CCFI. Other positions she has held with the community college system include Associate Director of State Aid (NCCCS), Business Systems Analyst for CF/ARCR (NCCCS), Controller, and Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Prior to working in the community college system, Mrs. Batten has held accounting/finance positions with the Town of Selma, Dickson County School System in Tennessee, a law firm and a hospital.

Mrs. Batten graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education and Information Technology. She also holds an Associate of Science degree from Johnston Community College in Business Administration and a certificate from Hardbarger Jr. College of Business. Mrs. Batten has more than 40 years combined service in business and accounting. She is highly qualified to work with colleges and assist them with business workflows and problem resolutions in Colleague Finance.
